THIRD book of the Ravenwood Cove series

ONE ... terrible mudslide
TWO... feet sticking out of it
THREE... carats of perfect diamonds

Amanda hadn't expected snow for Christmas on the Oregon Coast, but her first winter in Ravenwood Cove brings out long-dead secrets that someone is desperately trying to hide...no matter the cost. Hot chocolate, merry decorations, and purring cats give way to police investigations and a search for a ruthless killer.

MISTLETOE MOONLIGHT and MURDER A Ravenwood Cove Cozy Mystery edition by Carolyn L Dean Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

I'm working my way through the series and enjoy it. Can't say it's my fav - I prefer more hard-core or historical mysteries - but the Ravenwood Cove books are definitely a cut above average. Appreciate that the heroine is not a dumb cluck who finds clues but then hides them from the police - that trope (which is also illegal) should be banned forever, IMHO.

This is a slice of small-town life - yes, pretty much 99% Caucasian - where obstacles are overcome and life almost always ends well. To achieve this means a few bad things get glossed over in each story. These are 'feel good' novels, which is not a bad thing. Just realize it also means there's not a lot of depth to this series. These are light, easy, quick reads.

MISTLETOE MOONLIGHT and MURDER A Ravenwood Cove Cozy Mystery edition by Carolyn L Dean Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

I typically don't write reviews, but I really love this series! I stumbled upon the Ravenwood Cove cozy mystery series while looking for something easy and interesting to read. Happy to say I've read them all, and very quickly! Can I live in Ravenwood Cove now please? I love these books, they're such a delight to read. A good combination of mystery and suspense without making your mind turn too much for pre-bedtime reading! Would happily read the series agains and again, cannot wait for more!
The third book in her series. Wonderful mysteries. She should be a detective herself, because she is always solving the mystery. But she has an inside tract. Sometimes people will say things to her that the won't to the police, and her close male friend is a detective. Sometimes she comes up with the wrong person, but someone says something a certain way and she comes up with the right one.
Mistletoe, Moonlight, and Murder A Ravenwood...is about Amanda Graham who owns the Ravenwood Inn, her boyfriend, James, a detective at the local police force, and her friends. The story takes place in the winter just before Christmas. Amanda has recently moved into Ravenwood and has been making renovations and repairs to the inn. Ravenwood is a small community, where everyone knows everyone else's business. Especially, Mrs. Granger, the 90 yr. old grandmother of her friend Meg. Mrs. Granger sits at the local hardware store talking to the customers and to the others who come to sit with her, and gets all the latest goings on from them. She is a hoot! While Amanda is out driving to pick up a sign for her friend who just opened a book store, she encounters a land slide that involves James' brother Ethan. After safely parking her car, she goes over to where she saw Ethan's car go over the edge of the road. While sitting in her car waiting for the ambulance, for Ethan, Amanda sees something sticking out from the dirt in the road where the trees and everything else from the landslide have landed. Amanda realizes it's someone's feet sticking out and sees from the decaying skin on the leg that the person just didn't die recently. She calls the police who come to investigate. No one seems to know much about the person and Amanda sets out to help find out more about him. During this time she stumbles upon a necklace that Mrs. Granger is familiar with and that brings about even more questions for Amanda to figure out. I liked the storyline, but I gave this a four star rating due to there were words missing or awkwardness of a sentence, that doesn't give the reader an effortless read. There aren't a whole lot of these sentences that need to be edited, but enough to cause little snags in the reader's experience.
Excellent, clean entertainment! I enjoyed previous writings and look forward to new adventures.
Ravenwood sounds like my kind of town. Keep up the good work!
I am hooked on Ravenwood, Oregan!!! I love Amanda and James!!! I CAN NOT WAIT for the fourth book. I just found the first book 3 days ago...and have read one a day. I recently retired from being a Special Ed. Teacher and decided I was tired of reading informational and teaching materials...I found the cozy reader gendra...and I'm hooked...Thanks for such a Sweet, Quirky, Fantastic little town...I only wish I could live somewhere like that....THANKS, Teresa Bryant
Loved this book. It's the 3rd in her series. She's a wonderful author and from the moment you pick up her books they draw you right into the story. I love the way she describes the town, people, scenery. You'll love her books!
I read this book, thinking about every small town in which I ever lived . having trucked through oregon , as a driver, I have seen lots of these type towns. i thougherly enjoyed the book. it was well written without the modern language . the ending after the mystery ending was very good too. made me realize that a book can be good without all the sex and filth that so.many new writers think they need to sell their book.
